Golden Quill Tale of the Twins

Joshua and Caleb, heroes of old,
Inspired my people to be obedient and bold.
And here in Heaven, they travel about,
And release with joy, a victory shout.

Two little beings admired them with awe,
As the replay of their adventures, they saw.
These spirits were close at play and at rest,
In the wonderful world of our Father's breast.

Together, they petitioned for birth,
To bring glory to God upon the dark Earth.
Daddy said, "I will make both of you boys,
Who will bring both tears and bittersweet joys."

The tiny spirits said, "We don't want to make anyone sad."
"And, surely, we don't want to make anyone mad."
Daddy replied, "Don't worry; that isn't the plan.
I will not let you stay long from my Land."

"How would you like to share a mother?
To even on Earth, be an identical brother?"
The tiny spirits nodded with glee,
As they embraced the plan for their destiny.

God said, "The enemy will try to mess this up,
To give to your parents, a bitter cup.
But they are a very fine husband and wife;
They will be faithful to cherish your life."

"Your mama will keep you safe in her womb,
Though spectres of trouble, before her will loom.
You will be born, attached at the heart,
And soon after, you both will depart."

The tiny spirits said, "We accept our mission, dear Daddy,”
Oh, yes, we accept it so gladly.
We will always be of one heart and one mind,
And we will never ever be unkind."

"But give us the names of heroes of yore,
Of Joshua and Caleb, of You we implore.
Our parents will slay giants, just like they,
Of abortion, despair, fear, and dismay."

"We will lead them to the battle
And they will wear the victory mantle.
With courage and reverence in their hearts,
Their faith will quench the fiery darts."

"Your everlasting truth will fight the lies
That our birth is not a blessing or a prize,
For every child is a treasure,
Precious beyond earthly measure."

"Thank You for the love of Mom and Dad,
Even though it seemed our birth went bad.
Thank You for the salvation of their souls,
That helps them fulfill their earthly roles."

The Father smiled and glory poured
From Heaven to Earth upon His adored.
The little spirits rode His beams,
As the Father made real His dreams.

The eager pair glided into Earth Life's well.
They flared like sparks in a single cell.
Each embraced his brother and held him fast;
Their adventure was here at last.

Winds of controversy blew
Around the body that was shared by two.
But angels fought the satanic rages,
And victory was penned upon Heaven's pages.

The brothers snuggled for brief hours of time,
In the arms of Earth parents whose love was sublime.
Their mission complete, they returned to the Father
Who smiled with pleasure upon His son and daughter.

Faithful in adversity, to Him they were true.
Those miserable giants of selfishness, they slew.
Their sons await them with crowns they will place
Upon their heads with a kiss to their face.

What a glad reunion that will be
When they stand together on the Crystal Sea.
Tears of grief will be no more,
When they meet again on Heaven's shore.
